De muziek van The Attic Sleepers is verslavend. Het is rustgevend, makkelijk te luisteren en fijn om in de buurt te hebben als je meer ervan wilt. Twee jaar na hun eerste release in 2011, kunnen we eindelijk van een nieuw nummer genieten! Hij heet Lines en het is de eerste single van hun nieuwe album, dat uitkomt in januari 2014.

The Attic Sleepers zijn Mathias Barfod en Matias Knigge uit Kopenhagen. Ze startten hun muzikale project echter op een zolder in Centraal Amerika, tijdens een reis van vier maanden. Met een ukelele gaven ze de eerste ideeën voor hun liedjes vorm. Drie van deze liedjes, Airport, Ghost Behind the Door en I Still Moan, stonden op hun eerste demo, die destijds trouwens een van de allereerste luistertips was op Nordic Vibes!

Nieuw album van The Attic Sleepers

Die drie nummers zijn momenteel nergens te vinden, maar heb geduld: ze komen op het nieuwe album te staan. Het album bevat in totaal acht tracks, dus dat betekent vier compleet nieuwe nummers! (En als je hun demo niet hebt gedownload, kun je dus zelfs uitkijken naar zeven nieuwe liedjes)

The music of The Attic Sleepers is addictive. It’s sweet, it’s comforting, easy to listen to and a pleasure to have around any time you crave for more. Two years after their lovely first release in 2011, there is finally a new song to enjoy! It’s called Lines and it’s the first single from their upcoming album, which will be released in january 2014.

The Attic Sleepers are Mathias Barfod and Matias Knigge from Copenhagen. Their musical project first started in a loft Central America though, during a four month journey during which the guys used a ukelele to shape the first small ideas for their songs. Three of those songs, Airport, Ghost Behind the Door and I Still Moan, were featured on their first demo. Which by the way made it to one of the first luistertips here on Nordic Vibes!

Those three songs are now unavailable, but be patient: they will be featured on the new album! It will contain eight songs in total, so that means there will be four new songs for us to enjoy in january! If you haven’t downloaded their first demo, you will even have seven new songs to look forward to!
