The new day for updates is Monday. Sunday isn’t going to work for me. This is one of the many things I will find out along the way of planning my trip. In case you missed it: I am planning a blog & travel trip to the Nordics, for a year, with a van, starting in march 2014. Today I will share some ideas with you and I would love it if you would share your ideas with me!
Last Thursday I met up with one of the initiaters of the literally cool project Going North. I asked him about his journey, his preparations and the way he and his friends managed to fund their journey. It was so inspiring that my head was spinning after just ten minutes.
Here are a few ideas for my own travels after this conversation and I would like to hear if you would like to find these on Nordic Vibes:
Weekly video
Share a weekly video of one minute of the journey. Either a vlog, an interview or a scenic one.
At the Nordic Vibes YouTube channel you can for now only find recordings of musicians playing an acoustic song, but at my personal YouTube channel you can find scenic ones like this one:
A book
This is the original idea behind the whole journey: a selection of the best stories I shared on the blog during the year.
Two cool books I’d like to refer to as an inspiration: Brand Expedition and Trekhaak Gezocht, both mentioned in last weeks post.
Articles for other media
Like Dutch papers, magazines and websites. And maybe even English ones. The magazine can vary between home decoration, travel, music… well, anything related to arts and culture!
Which ones are your favourite?
Reports of annual Nordic events
For example Midsommar, Iceland Airwaves, Kopenhagen Fashion Week, Stockholm design week, kräftskiva (lobster week), and of course what it’s like to see the Northern Lights.
SPOT festival in Aarhus for example has been covered a lot since the start of this website.
A Nordic season box for sale
Maybe as a part of my crowdfunding plan: sending subscribers 4 presents during the year. A box with cool Nordic goodies, like fashion items, cd’s, design items, jewelry from a cool brand, and more. If you would like to receive a box, what would you like to get?

Postcards
Send postcards as part of my future crowdfunding project. Every month you’ll receive a postcard from the city I am in, let’s say every first of the month. Or if you’re really into receiving postcards, one every week 😉
No need to say, the website will of course be updated on a daily basis every monday – friday with the coolest Nordic arts & culture!
What do you think?
Let me know what you think of these ideas and of course share your own if you like, in the comments below! This will help me make the best plan that I can, which means you will get the best possible content 🙂
